Description: Veterans for Peace Tacoma Chapter 134 is proud to present Arlington Memorial Northwest, a tribute to all our troops who have been lost in Iraq, and to those serving overseas in conflicts. We invite service members, their families and friends to join us in honoring them. This is a non-partisan memorial designed to raise public awareness of the costs of war and occupation. No other signs will be displayed on the area.

Description: The convergence is a way to strengthen information flow and cooperation between permaculturists in the state of Washington; and to work on a vision of how permaculture can better serve the people and land of Washington state.

Description: This monthly event features a distinguished writer and an open mic for poets, playwrights, short story writers, and others. This month features Timothy Kelly, poet and physical therapist from Olympia. He is the author of Articulation, Stronger, and The Extremities. Open Mic sign-up is at 6:30 pm. Admission is free. The even occurs monthly the second Friday of every month at King's Books. Sponsored by the Tacoma Arts Commission and the Puget Sound Poetry Connection.
